Noques cashback is a rand balance in your account. You earn 1% of what you spend on orders over R20, it is credited when you collect the order, and you spend it against any future order from R5 up.
What makes it different from a loyalty card
Three things, and the first is the one that matters.
It is money, not points
Your cashback sits in a wallet as a rand balance. There is nothing to convert, no points table to decode, and no tier you have to reach before it becomes worth something.
It lands when you collect
Not when you pay. Cashback is credited once the order is actually fulfilled, which means a cancelled order does not leave you with a balance you never earned.
You spend it like cash
At checkout, against an order from any vendor on the marketplace. It comes off the total before you pay the rest by card.
How it works
Four steps, and you only do two of them.
Spend at least R20 in one order
Cashback is earned on orders from R20 up. Below that the order still goes through — it just does not earn.
Earn 1% of the total
Worked out on what you actually pay for the order, after any cashback you redeemed against it.
Collect your order
The balance is credited on fulfilment, not at payment. An order you cancel earns nothing, and anything you redeemed against it comes back to you.
Redeem from R5
Once your balance reaches R5 you can spend it, up to 50% of a basket at a time.

What cashback will not do
- It does not pay for a market entry ticket. Tickets are card or free. Cashback is for orders from vendors.
- It does not cover a whole basket. At most 50% of an order, so there is always something left to pay by card.
- It is not credited until you collect. If you are watching for it after paying, that is why it is not there yet.
- We do not currently expire it. There is an expiry period written into our settings and nothing in the system acts on it. If that ever changes we will say so here first, and well before it affects a balance.

What is Noques cashback?

When does it appear in my wallet?
When you collect the order, not when you pay for it. That is deliberate: an order you end up cancelling should not leave you holding cashback you never really earned, and anything you redeemed against a cancelled order comes back to you.
How much can I put towards one order?
Up to 50% of the basket, once your balance is at least R5. So cashback always covers part of an order rather than the whole thing.
Can I spend it at any vendor?
Yes. It is a balance on your account rather than credit with one shop, so it works against an order from any vendor on the marketplace — including a basket that spans several of them.
Can I use it for a market entry ticket?
No. A ticket is paid for by card, or it is free where the market does not charge. Cashback applies to orders from vendors.
Does it expire?
Not at the moment. There is an expiry period recorded in our settings and nothing in the system currently acts on it, so balances are not being cleared. If that changes we will say so on the cashback page before it affects anybody.
Does the vendor pay for my cashback?
No, Noques funds it. A vendor receives their full share of an order whether or not you redeemed cashback against it, so using it never costs the small business you bought from.
