Content and takedown policy

    What can be posted on Noques, and how to have something removed.

    Last updated: 29 September 2026

    1. What this covers

    Everything people post on Noques: vendors’ storefronts, product listings and images, market listings, and customers’ reviews. The person who posts something is responsible for it. Noques hosts it and acts on reports.

    2. Reviews

    • Only a customer who has collected the product can review it, once. Noques enforces this.
    • A review must be your honest experience of the product. Reviews may not be bought, offered in exchange for a discount, or written by a vendor about their own or a competitor’s products.
    • Noques does not remove a review because it is negative. It removes reviews that break section 3.

    3. What may not be posted

    • Anything unlawful, including defamatory statements, hate speech and incitement.
    • Anything that infringes somebody else’s copyright, trade mark or other rights, including photographs taken from another seller’s site.
    • Other people’s personal information, such as a phone number or address, without their consent.
    • False or misleading descriptions of goods.
    • Listings of goods that may not be sold on Noques.
    • Sexually explicit material, and anything that exploits children.

    4. Reporting something

    Use the contact form, say what the content is and where it is, and why it breaks this policy. A person reviews every report. Where content breaks this policy, it is removed and the person who posted it is told why and may respond.

    5. Formal takedown notices

    If you believe content on Noques unlawfully infringes your rights, you may send a takedown notice under section 77 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act to our designated agent:

    [name of the designated agent: to be supplied], support@noques.com, [address for legal notices: to be supplied]

    The notice must include:

    1. your full name and address;
    2. your written or electronic signature;
    3. the right you say has been infringed;
    4. the content concerned and where it is on Noques;
    5. what you want done about it;
    6. your telephone number and email address;
    7. a statement that you are acting in good faith;
    8. a statement that, to your knowledge, the information in the notice is true and correct.

    We act on a complete notice promptly, normally by removing or disabling the content, and tell the person who posted it. Somebody who knowingly sends a false notice is liable for the damage it causes.

    6. Stories and endorsements

    Any vendor story or testimonial Noques publishes is from a real person about their real experience, published with their written consent. If anything was given in return, the story says so.
